  • Kevin Prates
    DDS
    Dentist

    Dr. Kevin Prates holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design and an associate's in photography from Pacific Union College. He received his doctorate in dental surgery from Loma Linda School of Dentistry. 

    Following his belief in giving back to the community, Dr. Prates has participated with the Oregon Mission of Mercy and has traveled to Nicaragua for dental mission trips providing dental services and promoting oral health care. Dr. Prates volunteer activities also include being an Ambassador for the National Health Service Corp (2016-present), President of the Mid-Columbia Dental Society (2015-2018), and served as a Trustee on the board of the Oregon Dental Association (2017-2021).

    Dr. Prates is currently a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Oregon Dental Association. He has been honored with the CDA Foundation Dental Student Scholarship (2010), NASDAD Dental Student Award (2013), and a Presidential Citation by the Oregon Dental Association (2016).

    Dr Prates' approach to your oral health incorporates all aspects of your life. Instead of simply treating symptoms, we focus on underlying issues and work to promote overall wellness. This might include changes to your diet, stress management techniques, and other alternative therapies.

    When out of the office Dr. Prates is usually spending time with his family and dogs out camping, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, or snowboarding around the Columbia Gorge. 

  • Boni Franz
    Office Manager

    Boni Franz is our office manager and is responsible for the administrative tasks associated with running Heights Family Dental. This includes helping our patient understand treatment plans and scheduling appointments. Boni is often the primary point of contact for patients and may handle billing, insurance claims, and other correspondence. 

    Overall, Boni plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient communication with our patients to help them achieve the best oral and overall health.

    When not in the office she's usually spending time with her family and enjoying a Packers game.
